Guided Sea Kayaking Tours in West Cork
Explore the beautiful waters of Bantry Bay on our guided kayaking tour and experience the freedom that sea kayaking brings you. We will guide you along the calm waters of Bantry Bay and lead you around the inner harbour, towards Whiddy Island, which is a section of The Bantry Blueway route. You will enjoy points of interest around the bay, a little maritime history of the bay and hopefully get to enjoy some wildlife and birdlife on your trip. Make sure to be watching for dolphins and seals too as we often encounter these on our kayaking tours!
A guided kayaking tour is approx 1.5hrs-2hrs long and is an ideal way to experience Bantry Bay as your guide will lead the trip and share his local knowledge of the area with you. Your experienced guide will be with you at all times so this is the perfect kayaking trip for anyone who is a little nervous of kayaking but who would still like to join us for some adventure.
All kayaks have backrests for your comfort and are renowned for their stability in open water. We have single and double kayaks available for the guided kayaking tours so you can choose to kayak individually or take a child under 12yrs with you on the double kayak.
We also offer a guided kayaking at sunset tour which departs in the evenings to experience Bantry Bay at the magical hours just before sunset.
Additional Kayak Tour Information
All guests will be supplied with a life jacket and given a safety briefing on kayak use and directions for the kayaking route we will take before we head off on our guided kayak tour.
You can tailor your trip to have the option to finish your kayaking tour on Whiddy Island and return at your leisure on the island ferry for free at a later time. On Whiddy, you can explore this historic and beautiful island on foot or hire a bike, or simply relax and enjoy refreshments/food from the bar. We will take your kayaks from Whiddy back to Bantry and you can return on the ferry. We will advise of the ferry timetable .

Hire a kayak for time in Bantry Bay and end your trip on Whiddy Island where we will collect your kayak and you can get the ferry back to Bantry.
